New in this place, Can't find a familiar face, Surrounded by old and the new, I walked in, Saw your gentle face and I knew, I belong, And I knew, I belong with you. Whitefire awoke with a start. She didn't know if Hawkstripe was still in camp, or if he had been sent home. She had fallen asleep and not heard from him. She slowly padded out of the warriors den, blinking in the sunlight. She stretched and yawned, trying to wake up. She headed towards Hawkstar's den and called, " Hawkstripe! Hawkstripe!" She knew that you weren't supposed to go into the leaders den without invitation, but she need to know what had happened. She called out, " Hawkstar? Hawkstripe?" and waited for a reply before entering.

Hawkstripe awoke to the sound of his name. He yawned loudly and looked out of the den. There was Whitefire, staring into the cave. She must have called his name. He yawned once more before calling back, "I'm in here."

Whitefire's heart jumped when she heard Hawkstripe's meow. She let out a sigh of relief. Then she remembered that she would probably be punished by Hawkstar. I"ll worry about that later, she thought. "Come here," she called at Hawkstripe.

Hawkstripe glanced at the sleeping leader. He hesitated not wanting to get Whitefire in trouble, then decided it didn't matter. He padded out of the den, purring when he saw Whitefire. Rubbing against her, he asked, "what do you need me for?"

"We need to get you settled in. We will fetch some moss and other things you need. But the one thing we need to do as soon as possible, which I'm not looking forward to, is tell Lunarstar. I will come with you, but you will need to do most of the talking." Whitefire looked at Hawkstripe, needing some confidence.

Hawkstripe immediately shook his head. "You are not coming with me!" He meowed, narrowing his blue eyes. "When Lunarstar hears why I left...She will have one of her moods...And her moods are very dangerous! She might just kill you. I'm not risking it. You also need to tell Hawkstar where I am."

OOC:: Mind if I step in?
Hawkstar suddenly peeled from the shadows of her den. The dark tabby prowled over to the couple and sat down. "Lunarstar will no be killing my warrior," she meowed coolly. "Hawkstripe, I have thought about you staying, and, well..." Hawkstar glanced over at Whitefire, then back at the tom. She had done some serious thinking, and she thought that the two would think she was about to say no. They were in for something. "You may stay," she meowed warmly, a rusty purr softly sounding in her throat. She glanced back over at Whitefire. "Whitefire, I'm expecting you to keep a close eye on him and keep him out of trouble. Now," she changed the subject, "you two prepare yourselves. We are going to pay Lunarstar a visit." Hawkstar turned away, padding over to the fresh-kill pile. She looked over her shoulder and flicked her tail, beckoning the two lovers. "You two need to eat before we go."

Hawkstripe smiled happily at the news of his acceptence. He purred a thanks before turning to Whitefire. "I really wish you both would stay... Luanrstar won't be happy with losing her best warrior..." He looked up at the sky and mewed softly, "Please let Lunarstar be in a good mood!" He then turned his attention back to his mate.

Whitefire smiled at her mate. "Ha," she smirked at him. She was happy she got to go with Hawkstripe and see Lunarstar. She was glad that Hawkstar had said yes to her mate staying. She padded over to the fresh-kill pile. She picked out a squirrel and walked back over to Hawkstripe. "Want to share with me?" She purred, waiting for an answer.

"Sure!" Hawkstripe purred back, making himself comfortable. He smiled at Whitefire, sighing inside. He really wished he hadn't gotten himself into this mess. The love he felt for Whitefire was real...he just wished it wasn't. If only I'd never talked to her...then she wouldn't be pregnant with an evil kit, Hawkstar and her wouldn't have to go see Lunarstar, and I wouldn't have to worry about feeling like a traitor. Hawkstripe thought in regret. Then, looking at Whitefire, he realized he was happy he met her. He couldn't imagine life without her.

Whitefire smiled back at Hawkstripe. She sat down across from him and ate a bite of the squirrel. She chewed it slowly, waiting for Hawkstripe to take a bite. She wondered how long until they went to StreamClan. Tired of waiting for Hawkstripe she took another bite, figuring they would probably be leaving soon.

Hawkstripe took a large bit and ate it happily. He then started to think about his mate's kit...He wondered if Hawkfrost would visit the kit in it's dreams as he had with hawkstripe. Or maybe Tigerstar would visit the kit. Tigerstar and hawkfrost. The most deadly names in the Clans. They lived many decades ago with the old Clans of ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. Those names reached all the way here, their story haunting kits' dreams. Hawkstripe sighed as he realized his ancestors' training did no good. He wasn't feared, he didn't have an amazing story. But maybe his son or daughter would.

Hawkstar had simply chosen a mouse to eat. She had been watching out of the corner of her eye as the two ate, sharing prey. Hawkstripe, the descendant of the most vile cats the she-cat had heard of. She wasn't there when they were around, but she had heard plenty about them. For some reason, her old home had jumped to mind at the thought. Gray and Tigerstar would have gotten along well... Shaking that ugly thought, Hawkstar finished her meal, standing up and licking her lips. "Well then, are you two ready?" she meowed. Without really waiting for an answer, the she-cat turned away and began to pad slowly out of camp, her tail hanging low to the ground, but not touching it. Her ears laid to the sides, like they always did, not even turning to listen for the two. Whitefire was smart enough to know when to follow...

Whitefire was done with the squirrel when Hawkstar asked if they were ready to leave. "I am!" The she-cat jumped up and started to follow her leader out of the camp. She realized that she had to wait for Hawkstripe. She stopped abruptly. She turned around and meowed, "Come on! We have to go or Hawkstar will punish us!" Not waiting for him, she started to follow Hawkstar again.

HAwkstripe stood and followed. He really regretted seeing Lunarstar. Catching up to Whitefire and Hawkstar, Hawkstripe smiled and meowed, "just let me talk to her..." He then raced a head a little bit.
