Souls eyes widened slightly. Floating? That sounded fun! She wriggled slightly as Shrill grabbed her scruff, but only out of habit. She loved to be dificult, it was so fun. they lifted of the ground Soul shrieked in exitement, twisting to try and see how high they were. "Can (hack) we go (cough) hig(gasp)her?" She squeaked eagerly, exitement making her hard to understand. She wriggled again, straining to see the ground below.
>muse? Come out come out where ever you are! I will find youuuu!<

Shrill gave a purr, meaning yes. Bunching up, she leaped higher into the air, seeming to claw her way up through clouds. She lightly tossed the kit, re gripping at her so she could see the world below. Shrill could feel her struggles at looking.

Soul batted at the clouds that had allways looked do fluffy from down below. She gave a hiss of shock when she found that they were wet. "The'yre (hack) wet!" She exclaimed, tearing at the clouds with unsheathed claws and snikering when they floated away. Soul turned her gaze downwards to stare at the ground that was now so far below her. "How (gasp) are you (cough) doing (wheeze) that?" She asked exitedly, Flailing her paws at the clouds.

"Lots and lots of training," the white cat meowed around the bundle in her mouth. She was glad to see that the kit was starting to act more like a kit. Kits were supposed to be curious, playful, willing to take on everything. They were not meant to be afraid, flinching at every sound that they happen to hear. This was how Soul should have been acting the whole time, swatting at the clouds, squirming to look everywhere at once.
If not for that Twoleg, Soul wouldn't even be in this situation. She could be living her life normally, with her speech uninterrupted by gags and coughs. Shrill's brother Owl came to mind. He had been forced to give up words more than two syllables long because of the deep gash in his throat.

Soul stopped moveing for a moment, thinking. "Can (cough) teach (gag) me?" She squeaked, starting to attack the ground again. The idea of being able to run through the clouds, up into the sky, to fly like a bird among the stars was exhilerating. Twolegs couldn't fly. She would be safe up here. Even if it did take ages, Soul wasn't doing anything, but Shrill might be. "Only if (gasp) you want to though" She hurried the last words, trying to fit as many in before her throat closed. The result of the swift flow of words caused her to jerk and cough until she was sure she would of died if she hadn't allready been dead.

Shrill slowly drifted back down to the ground, releasing her hold on the kitten's scruff. "Sure, I'll teach you," she meowed happily. "This one's really easy, okay? Just think of light things. Feathers, clouds, even air! Anything will work. The harder part is liftoff. Bunch up as tight as you can go and spring! If you don't get it, I'll be right here to catch you!" The she-cat readied herself for emphasis.
OOC:: Sorry so short... It's late...

>Thats OK<
Soul crouched down to the ground, ready to spring. She closed her eyes and thought of the clouds, the light, soft ones that drifted lazily accross the sky, she thought of the light breeze that tugged at her coat and teased her ears. Soul wriggled her hind quaters and leaped into the air. Soul felt as if her paws had hit nothing but she still had support, she tried to jump again but her paws seemed to be sinking. She let out a shriek as she fell, lashing her tail for balance.

Shrill knew that the kit was so close. Dashing under Soul's falling body, the white cat gave her a gentle butt in her rump. "Keep trying! You're almost there!" she encouraged. She tossed the kit from atop her head and braced her body for another rescue.
Soul was making great progress for a beginner. She had nearly made it to the air. Shrill had fallen countless times before she finally stayed in the air. But the kit had less body mass, so it would probably be easier for her either way.

Soul squeaked as she was pushed back into the air. She desperately tried to recapture the feeling of weightlessness. Soul remembered once, when she had been alive, at the mercy of her twoleg tormenter, she had been grabbed by the scruff and thrown through the air. She well remembered that feeling of flying. Soul felt herself leap again, she was doing it! No she wasn't, she was falling again.

Shrill grunted and caught Soul by the scruff. She gently placed her back on the earth. "That was an amazing effort," she praised. "I never made it that far on my first try." The white she-cat ran a paw over the kit's ruffled fur. "Do you want to give it another shot, or are you done for the day?"

Soul puffed in exertion and was grateful for Shrills amazing catching skills. It wouldn't of been easy catching a fast falling object, with her mouth to, and in a way that didn't hurt her to. Soul purred and closed her eyes, waiting to catch her breath, then she looked back up at shrill with exited blue eyes. "Can I (hack) try (cough) again?" She asked feeling as if her throat was constricted tight, it was strange, but maybe it was only because she was exited, which hadn't happened since before she had died. She was having fun as well, and she couldn't remember the last time that had happened. "I love (rasp) floating, or (gasp) trying to, even (splutter) the falling parts (wheeze) kind of (cough) fun, cause (choke) I can't die" Soul pulled in a gasp of breath, talking so much was hard!

Shrill purred at the eagerness of the young kit. "Of course you can try again," she meowed. "I'll be right here if you need me." Crouching down, the she-cat brought her silver tail around her white body. Her yellow eyes watched the young kitten carefully, her muscles tight and ready to spring into action in case of another fall.
At least she's enjoying herself, Shrill noted. She didn't have the chance for enjoyment in her living time, no thanks to that human. Now, she's actually having the fun she should have had so long ago.

Soul grinned and crouched down, bunching her hindquaters underneath her she lunged into the air. Once again she felt the strange sensation of having a solid, but not solid surface under her paws but then she felt her paws falling through. She hissed and leaped upwards again. She yowled in exitement as she jumed again, gaining height. "Shrill!" She yowled down at her friend, "am I (cough) doing it?"

Shrill sprang to her paws. "Yes!" she yowled. "You're doing it! Way to go, Soul!" In her excitement, the mostly white she-cat flung her own body into the air, the thoughts of weightlessness coming easily to her. "Come on, you can do it!" she called encouragingly. "Follow me." Shrill slowly clawed her way upwards, keeping a close eye on the kitten. Her claws stuck out like she way climbing a tree, her paws splayed out as she climbed. But, once she reached a certain height, she seemed to step onto a platform, literally walking on air now.
"Come on, that's it. You're doing wonderfully." Shrill murmured words of praise in endless streams, the gurgle in her voice most likely natural to Soul by now. "You're almost here, just a bit further."

Soul huffed in exertion as she leaped again. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw shrill bound past her and stop, standing in mid air like it was flat earth. Soul struggled higher, trying to reach the point where her friend was. Slowly Soul felt her paws sinking again. She snarled in defiance to gravity and made one last leap upwards. Then she was standing on nothing, but solid nothing that she couldn't feel but could feel. It was the strangest sensation. "I (cough) did it!" She panted. Staring down at the world below with wide eyes. She looked up at Shrill, slightly confused. "But (Gasp) how did (Hack) I do (cough) it?"
