Bleak returned the smile to Scratch halfheartedly, then looked away. This cat was no fun. He wasn't scared and it gave the little cat nothing to do. Bleak stared blankly at the bushes beyond and let his senses travel. An uneasy feeling settled in the tom's chest as he looked at the dark shadows of trees and bushes. His fur prickled and rose along his spine. A feeling of being watched lingered in the air. Bleak absentmindedly stood up and began to pad forward, following his senses to whatever was out there.
OOC:: Sorry, I just felt like it was getting a bit boring, so having something out there should spice things up... How about a fox?

OOC: Not a fox. You always bring a fox in. Something else like a badger or a..... i don't know. Something other than a fox.

OOC:or a dog. I think three great fighters could bring down a badger to easily. oh, but Scratch has a hurt paw..... EVEN BETTER! *laughs evily*
IC: Equinox frowned as Bleak started to drift away. It worried him for some reason, he didn't want the cat to get out of sight. Equinox got hesitantly to his feet, worrying about whether to follow or stay with Scratch.

OOC:: OOOOHH A dog... Hawky likes... Hawky likes...
Bleak gently brushed his paws over the grass and his shoulder blades lifted and fell. Something was there. Bleak's yellow orbs locked on a thick set of brush. Snuffing sounds could be heard from where he was. Bleak moved closer a little faster. His curiosity was killing him. Prowling forward as a brisk trot, Bleak's nose slammed into the wet, cold nose of a beast. Looking up, Bleak took one glance, then backed up swiftly from the canine. It crouched down and wagged its long tail, its lips pulling back in a snarl. It took a step forward that made the ground tremble, and matched ten of Bleak's steps. Bleak whipped around and hared away, rejoining the two toms. "Think you two can fight?" he meowed, flicking his gaze over his shoulder at the approaching dog. Slobber dripped from its open jaws as it thirsted for cats...

Equinox barley waited for Bleak to get back. He dodn't listen to what the cat said. He growled furiously and took a step towards the dog. Equinox puffed up his fur to look three times as big as he was. He took another threating step forward. Basic survival skills. Convince the other that you can and will kill them if pressed and they should turn tail and run. But dogs were so stupid! Equinox once again stepped fowards he snarled warningly and hoped the other cats hadn't run, it would be much easier fighting the dog if he had two other cats with him, even an injured cat was better then just him!

"Honey, you know I would love too. But I'd better not chance it with my paw. It could get infected. I may be tough, but I'm not stupid." Scratch watched as Bleak and Equinox went towards the dog. I wish I was fighting, he thought.
OOC:Sorry it so short.

Bleak nodded and faced the dog. Now he had something to protect. Drawing out his signature growl, a long wailing sound, Bleak pulled his lips back and sank close to the ground. His shoulder blades stuck up as far as they would go, a signal that Bleak was at the perfect height. He began to slide forward, hoping that Equinox would follow. A dog was better than meeting a fox. Bleak would probably freeze up if it was a russet beast. A big shaggy one was far better. Paws light as air, Bleak zipped forward and slid under the dog's belly, twisting and clawing at the soft flesh. It was time for Equinox to step in.

Equinox watched as bleak slid past him and scratched the dogs belly. The dog howled in anger. Equinox didn't miss a beat he lunged forward and caught the dog around the throat. Equinox bit down hard, but the dogs fur was to dense, all Equinox could do was hold on hoping that the pressure he was exerting would suffocate the gigantic beast....... not likely.

Bleak sprang away from the dog, returning only heartbeats after. Jumping up, Bleak landed on the large shoulders and dug his claws in for a hold. Reaching forward, the little cat sank his sharp fangs into a soft, floppy ear. Blood dripped into his mouth, the taste of iron fresh and warm. Bleak jerked back; hard. The beast let out a howl of pain and began to shake.

When Bleak bit the dogs ear it howled in pain and whreched it's head around. Equinox lost his grip and was sent flying into a very solid tree. By rights Equinox should have been knocked out but he lept to his feet again and charged the dog. HEquinox lept at it and raked his claws over the dogs eyes. It roared in pain and fury and swung his head around to snap at Bleak.

The dog shook its head wildly and Bleak was sent off in a different direction, twisting and tumbling in midair until he slammed to the hard ground. The world spun and shifted unsteadily. Bleak blinked his eyes and stood up, wobbling. Shaking his pelt out, the little cat bunched, his thin muscles flexing out his claws, then fired. He shot straight between the dog's legs, avoiding the jaws that turned and snapped at him. Screaming when the teeth met the tip of his tail, Bleak spun around and swiped long claws deep into the tough flesh of the dog's nose. It yelped with pain and jumped back.
OOC:: We got to get rid of this thing soon, soo...
Somewhere away, a loud yowling sounded. Bleak froze up a little. It belonged to a two-leg. "Get in a tree, now!" Bleak yowled. Turning away from the dog, the small cat pelted to the closest tree he could find and zipped up. The two-leg was looking for its dog, and the noise they had been making had drawn it to them. Now the two-leg can take that filthy mutt away from here... Good riddance...

OOC: k
IC: Equinox wasn't giving up that easily. When Bleak told him to hide he snarled. He lunged at the dogs side, caught it's fur in his claws and dragged himself onto the dogs back. Equinox bared his teeth and bit into the back of the dogs neck. It howled in pain as the twoleg came through the trees, running on it's hind paws. It shouted something and threw a rock at Equinox. Equinox hissed in anger as the rock missed him by a whisker, and spinning around, lept off the dog and raced towards a tree.Equinox yowled as another rock hit him. His leg almost collapsed beneath him, but he made it the last few rabbit hops and skidded under a thorn bush.

Scratch watched as Bleak and Equinox fought off the dog. He heard a yowling of a twoleg. Just as he was about to tell Bleak and Equinox, Bleak shouted to get in a tree. Scratch let out a sigh of relief. He went into a bush and hid. He hoped that the twoleg would come and take the dog. He waited to see what would happen.

Bleak watched as the two-leg erupted into the clearing and yowled and hurled rocks. Bleak's almost unblinking eyes watched as the two-leg came over to the whining dog and rubbed it. The dog lifted a paw and whined. Faker! We didn't hurt your stupid leg! The two-leg mewled soothing words at the injured dog, then somehow picked it up, holding the huge beast in its front paws. The dog's legs dangled and the front paws only wrapped around the chest and rear of the dog, but the two-leg didn't seem bothered. He must have picked the thing up before. The two-leg turned away, and walked. Once the to monsters were out of sight and hearing, Bleak slithered down from the tree. Prowling to the center of the space, he meowed a soft, "Come out." His eyes flashed at the orange tom. "I should shred you. That two-leg could have hit you right in the head with one of those rocks! Then what would have happened, huh?" Bleak lashed his bleeding tail. "You know what, don't even answer that..." Turning away from the two cats, the little tom sighed deeply to calm himself. He brought a paw to his forehead. He was really going to lose his temper if he even looked at the other cats. "Fool..."
