Equinox poked his head wearily out of the bushes. He crawled out and winced as a Sharp jolt of pain flashed up his leg. I'm fine, see He said to Bleak. He put his fut down and leaned his weight on it. This time his leg did collapse. Equinox grunted as his breath was driven out of his lungs. He grimaced and struggled back to his feet. Truly, I am fine, I've had worse. Not exactly a lie, but far from the truth as well. I am obviously perfectly able to hunt with this, and fight of course, though I would rather not. Like I said, I've had worse. Another lie. He probably wouldn't be able to hunt for a while, but there were other ways for a hungry and not to fussy cat to get food. Soooo, I'll be off now, have fun , stay away from dogs and remember to eat your bones cos their good for your teeth. Equinox waved his tail cheerily at the other cats and started to hop away. May your Claws stay sharp! He called back over his shoulder making for the closest escape route.

Bleak lifted his lips and watched as Equinox slipped away in a hurry. Coward... Bleak held back the sharp-tongued comment. Flicking his tail wildly, the little cat stalked over to Scratch. "He sure was in a hurry to get away," Bleak sneered. Looking close enough to the cat's face, you would be able to see the smirk. Bleak glanced to where Equinox's orange pelt had vanished, the smirk slowly fading into a smile. "He was something, wasn't he?" Bleak realized what he had just meowed and quickly added, "I don't like him, though! You're the only cat for me, Scratch!" Bleak grinned widely.

Scratch hurried over to Bleak and Equinox. Equinox was leaving. The black male called out, "Good-bye!" after him. He listened to what Bleak said. "I'm not worried about it. And if you did like him and leave me...I'd kill you." He smiled playfully at Bleak. "So what do you want to do now?"
OOC: Sorry it's short. I ran out of muse after I posted at the Gathering.

Bleak flattened his ears. "Go home." He was tired and his tail hurt. How come every time Bleak met someone new, there was a battle involved? Bleak sighed and slowly shook his head; he didn't know. Looking up at Scratch, Bleak blinked once, waiting for opinion of his mate.
OOC:: Sorry... really busy and like, no muse...

Equinox limped through the bushes. His ear twitched as he heard Scratch call a goodbye. Slipping silently through the bush he headed back to his old den. He was to injured to find a new one right now, besides, he knew all the area around it and the best place to get moss and herbs. With a sigh of relief Equinox reached the tree hollow that had been his den for the last moon and squirmed painfully through the small hole, into the ever lasting twilight of the hollow tree. Equinox lay in the soft moss, closed his eyes and fell quickly into a deep sleep. The trees leaves rustled softly, welcoming him home.
OOC: I know Equinox is basically finished in this thread but I just wanted to show what happened and explain that this is the place that Equinox has finally decided to settle in. He is going to start re-venerating it soon.

"Sure. Whatever." Scratch rolled his eyes and headed in the direction of their cave. He went in and curled up in the moss. He tried to fall asleep while waiting for Bleak.
OOC: No muse!

Bleak slowly trailed after Scratch, letting the bigger cat's paw steps fade as he moved further away. Everything was slowly fitting into place with the whole day. "Hmn..." Bleak allowed his sounds to express his thoughts. He let out a variety of soft clicks and hums as he thought about everything. Glancing around, Bleak could almost feel the shadows moving. Sniffing, there was nothing, but the little cat could feel the gaze of another. Lowering his head, Bleak dared not move any swifter. His paws slid silently over the grass as his orbs scanned the shadows for any sign of life. Nothing. "Tch, feeling things," Bleak murmured, trying to convince himself that there was nothing. But then he could hear something: paw steps gliding alongside his own. Bleak glanced around and tried to find the source. Nothing. Then, a figure slid out of the brush. "Approach me," the cat demanded, though his lips didn't move at all. "Who are you?" Bleak asked. He twitched his tail nervously. "Stop asking questions and do as you are told!" The cat's voice rang heavily in Bleak's ears. Then, the voice made sense. The way the cat sounded, and what he had just said. "Father?" Bleak whispered, taking a step toward the tom. The cat smiled and nodded; the smile was twisted and cruel, like Bleak's. A tail swept around the older cat and beckoned the little tabby closer. Bleak padded all the way to face his father's larger figure. "Don't worry, only you see me," the cat assured as Bleak glanced wearily around. "Beware, my son. There are family things that must be taken care of. Expect to see me again!" The large tabby suddenly pounced forward, bowling into Bleak's smaller body. Bleak yowled as loud as he could as pain radiated through him, even though he wasn't being touched. Bleak's father vanished, and Bleak felt more pain as a small spasm wafted over him. The spasm stopped and Bleak wailed before finally fainting.
OOC:: SOOOO MUCH MUSE!! *chokes on muse* Beechy! I got an idea! I need to talk to you in the admin area!!! And Scratch or someone might need to come in here... Poor Bleaky-Pooh... *runs away for life from raging Bleak*

Scratch tossed and turned while waiting for Bleak. He had been waiting for a while. Something felt wrong to him. He sighed and got up. He walked back the way that he had come home. He saw a lump laying on the ground. He raced up to see what it was and found Bleak. "Bleak," he screached, a little louder than necessary. He picked him up by his scruff and carefully dragged him back to the cave. He layed him down in the moss and went back out in the forest. He found some moss and took it to the river. He dipped it in the water. Scratch carried back to their cave and set it next to Bleak for when he woke up. He whipped his paw in the water and ran it across Bleaks head.

Something cold brushed over the little cat's head, and Bleak forced himself to consciousness. Opening his yellow eyes a crack, Bleak looked around without lifting his head. He was back in the cave. Scratch was bent over him nervously. Everything then flooded back into Bleak's head. "Where is he? Did you see... No, you didn't." Bleak's mew was soft and weak. Bleak tipped his head and lapped at the water-soaked moss. The water was too cold, and Bleak let out a faint hiss. Bringing his paws up to him, the little cat suddenly felt cold. A small shiver passed through him, and he began to close his eyes. He sure was tired...

Scratch saw that Bleak had become conscious again. He was mum mering something to himself that the black male couldn't understand. He saw hims shiver. The black cat moved the moss and layed next to Bleak to warm him up. "It's alright. I'm right here," he softly said to Bleak. "Just go to sleep. I'll still be here."

Bleak relaxed his eyes as Scratch's pelt was detected close to him. Bleak pushed up against the larger tom for warmth. "He's out there," the little cat mewed softly. "He's coming... Expect to... see..." Bleak's meow trailed off as the blackness of sleep washed over him life a warm, bubbling, fuzzy wave. The tabby gratefully gave into the dreamless sleep with a sigh, and all his senses dimmed.
OOC:: Sorry... Short, no muse anymore...

Scratch murmured to Bleak, "It's alright. It's fine. Just rest," as the male fell asleep. The black male was relived and layed his head down and went to sleep also.
OOC: Sorry its short. Are we done?
