My story is about a girl who is abused by her father. Then one day, she is taken to a new city by a group of strange people because she has amazing powers that she doesn't know about. She has to discover her powers and use them in this new city to fight off giant, evil rat-like creatures, which are harming the city's property. She also has some relationship stuff going on. (Ask if you want more explanation of the plot.)

Well:
*Her name is Reena.
*One of the kids in the groups who took her has a crush and a lot of other guys like her too
*The people in the group also have powers
*She finds out that only certain people have powers and usually still don't know about them.
Ask if you want even more. And be specific.

Why does she have to fight the evil rat creatures, and where did they come from?
Also what kind of powers?
Does her father let her go willingly? Or does she escape?

She gets kidnapped when she isn't at home. I think it's when she's going home from the grocery store that it happens. Her daddy doesn't know.

She has to fight them because they are destroying things in the village. I'm not sure where they will come from yet, but I'll figure it out.
Well they're kinda like affinities, but a little different.
Hawky, you were on the right track. It was a Friday night and she went to the store and when she returned to her car, they took her. And her father doesn't care where she is during the weekend because he's normally out partying so it takes him a while to realize she's gone. But he will find out and call her... I'm not sure how that's gonna work out though...
