Teach me how to fish! (Ravenwing)

Ravenwing stared at Beechstar, eyes wide, jaw slack. He tried to speak, but all that came out was a small squeak. He tried again, "Um, Beechstar I..."he let his sentence trail off, he what? Did he like her... Or was he going to have to hurt her?

He watched her face in silence, searching for something-anything- to evoke an emotion, a feeling, a need. His gaze seemed drawn to the wet streaks staining and dampening her brown and black fur. Then he felt it. Staring at her, he realized he did share her feelings. 

"Beechstar, I love you...too," Ravenwing whispered, gaze dropping his paws, fur growing hot.

[*Beechstar*]

The she-cat looked up and her eyes brightened.

"That's great! I'm so happy right now!" She stood up and rubbed her body against his. She rubbed her head against his face and started to purr.

After a few minutes of that, she stepped back, but was still purring. "Well, we should probably get back to camp and make sure Cloudpool hasn't destroyed the camp. Or what's left of it anyway."

She stepped forward, then stopped. Beechstar looked back at Ravenwing and waited for him to come with her.

Ravenwing laughed abd stood, walking with Beechsta. His steps took an airy, happy gait and he felt as though he was flying. He had a mate! Maybe one day they'd have kits. Ravenwing purred at the idea, he hoped one day they'd have kits, but not for a while. He was content to just stay by his mate's side and protect her with his life.
