The light brown tabby walked out of her den and stretched, soaking in the morning sun. She jumped down from the rock in front of her den and padded towards the warriors den. Neither of them were awake yet, but they should have been. She quietly padded in and looked at her warriors. Cloudpool looked exhausted, but Ravenwing looked calm and peaceful in his sleep. Deciding to go with Ravenwing, she padded around Cloudpool and prodded Ravenwing with her paw.
"Ravenwing? Wake up," she whispered as she continued to prod him.

Ravenwing yawned and blinked. In the second his eyes opened, he saw a brown cat in front of him. With another yawn and stretch, he opened his green eyes all of the way. His leader, Beechstar, was in front of him. With another quick yawn, he quickly licked his rumpled chest fur.
"Yes, Beechstar?" he murmured sleepily, turning his attention back to his leader.

"Sorry to wake you, but I need to learn how to fish. I realize that your tired, but look at Cloudpool." She waved her tail at him. "He looks dead. And I figured you wouldn't mind showing me how to fish. And along the way, were going to re- mark the borders." She exited the den, again going around Cloudpool.
Beechstar blinked as the bright sun shone in her eyes. She sat down by the entrance and waited for Ravenwing.
The Maine coon tom awoke as he heard something exit the den. He scented the air; it was Beechstar. He saw that Ravenwing was up.
"What's going on?" he asked his Clan mate.
When Ravenwing said that he was showing Beechstar how to fish and they were going to mark the borders, Cloudpool got up and stretched. "Good luck with that," he meowed and headed out of the den to go start on fixing some stuff around camp while they were gone.
OOC: Sorry that I power- played a bit. I don't want to post with Cloudpool again.

OOC: Aren't they with StreamClan?
Ravenwing gave his messy fur a quick lick before joining his leader outside. He dreaded going to the water, but kept his face nuetral. He walked tothe Camp entrance and waited for his leader.
OOC: Sorry, not much to post!

OOC: No, they left.
When Ravenwing came towards her, Beechstar stood up and walked into the forest. She headed first towards the StreamClan border, that way they could renew scents and she could learn how to fish.
When they reached the border she walked over and started renewing scent markers. She did most of it and said, "You do the rest," to Ravenwing.
The tabby then padded towards the river and looked at its deep waters. She didn't think she'd be able to like anything that came from those waters.

Ravenwing nodded and finished the other markers, then walked over to the stream. He sat on the side opposite the sun, so his shadow would fall behind him, and out of the water.
"It's simple, really. Just watch and wait. Be patient, it may take a while. When you see a fish, flip it out with your paw." Ravenwing told Beechstar, staring at the water. After a few momments he saw a flicker and flashed his paw into the cold water. His pad and claws met scales and he yanked the fish from the river, letting it land on the ground beside him. He bit into it, killling it, then looked at his leader.

The tabby she-cat nodded as Ravenwing explained to her what to do in words. She watched carefully as he caught a fish. Her eyes probably showed a shocked expression as she walked closer to the river, making sure that her shadow fell behind her.
She watched the water carefully, when she saw a shadow. She swiped her paw under it, grabbed it, pulled it up, and then... it slipped out of her claws and back into the stream.
Without waiting for Ravenwing to say she could try again, she was ready to. Beechstar moved a little bit down stream, and sat so her shadow was behind her. Watching the water for a fish, she felt confident that she would get it this time. Spotting a fish, she repeated the process from earlier, but got a better hold. She quickly moved it to her mouth and bit it, killing it.
"I did it!" she said with a smile.

Ravenwing purred and mewed, "good job!" Then realized he was treating his leader like an apprentice. He sat down, bowed his head, and mumbled, "sorry." He sometimes forgot Beechstar was his leader... she just wasn't as demanding as Lunarstar or Hawkstar. And Ravenwing was very thankful for that. He would probably become a loner if he'd been born in one of their Clan's.

The tabby she-cat looked at her warrior with confusion. "Why are you sorry? You have nothing to be sorry for."
The she-cat felt her pelt becoming warm; an irritating warm. Looking around, she spotted some willow trees. Those look so romantic... she thought longingly. She mentally shook herself. No one liked her, and she couldn't live her life regretting not having a mate.
Looking at Ravenwing, Beechstar said, "Let's move under those willows. It'll be cooler under them and we can talk."
She walked over to the oddly shaped trees and sat down.
When her warrior reached her, she said, "So, tell me; why are you sorry?"
OOC: Yes, I know there probably wouldn't be willow trees there.

Ravenwing followed his leader with an inward sigh. He sat down across from her and meowed, "because I was treating you like an apprentice when you are my leader, Beechstar." He didn't look at her as he spoke, just stared at the hanging branches of the willows. He wasn't sure Beechstar really cared about that instant where he acted like a mentor, because, in a way, he was. He was teaching his leader a skill she didn't have.

The she-cat shook her head. "I don't care. You were teaching me something I didn't know." Her smiled had faded into a frown by then. Her eyes tried to connect with Ravenwings, but he wouldn't look at her. "Hey," she said softly,"Look at me."
When he finally did, she meowed, "You have nothing to be sorry for. You have every reason to treat me that way." She sighed. "Don't treat me different because I'm your leader. I hate when everyone does that. No one treats me like they treat anyone else."
Then it was her turn to look away. She could feel tears on the edges of her eyelids. She closed them forcefully, blinking them away.

"Beechstar...are you okay?" Ravenwing whispered, looking into her face. He could tell she was crying, the tears stained her brown fur. "What's wrong? I'm sorry I treated you like you're different." he whispered.
OOC: Sorry, like nothing to post right now.

The tabby she-cat shook her head through tears. She hadn't been the same lately. She was more aware of her emotions. She needed to tell someone.
Beechstar again shook her head. "No, I'm not ok." She looked Ravenwing in the eye and said, "I'm sorry. It's not your fault I'm crying; it never used to bother me that others treated me different. But lately... Ever since the fire... I just don't..." Her words drifted off, and she didn't bother to finish her sentence.
OOC: Sorry so short.

Ravenwing stared at his leader with a cocked head. "What do you mean? What does the fire have to do with anything?" Ravenwing asked. He narrowed his eyes at the water that dripped from her eyes. "Don't cry, Beechstar," he whispered. "I don't like it when cats cry..." He gently placed his nose on her head between her ears.

The she-cat almost gasped when Ravenwing touched her. She closed her eyes, blinking out the last of her tears, and drew in her warriors scent. It was a wonderful smell and she sat there for a few minutes, enjoying his touch and drawing in his scent.
After a while, Beechstar pulled away, looked Ravenwing in the eyes, and smiled."Thanks. And I know this might sound sudden, but I think I love you Ravenwing." She looked away, not being able to make eye contact in case he didn't return the feelings.
