OOC: This is going to start in the clearing, but end up in the forest.
IC: A tabby she-cat tossed and turned in her sleep, getting moss everywhere. She awoke suddenly at the crack of lightning and a roll of thunder. She sat upright, feeling utterly exhausted. She hadn't been sleeping well lately, and this storm wasn't helping.
When the lightning lit up her den again, Beechstar saw that there was moss everywhere. She could also feel small pieces sticking into her pelt. She shook the moss out, and could hear it hit the ground. She then swept it up and pushed it out of the entrance of her den, with the other pieces that were on the ground.
She sat next to the entrance surveying the clearing. She watched the rain hit the ground and soak into it. She could also hear the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof of her den. It was a calming sound, and she soon closed her eyes.
Another rumble of thunder made her snap them back open.
Suddenly, the clearing was alight with lightning. The she-cat saw it strike a tree, tipping it over. It hit the ground with a loud crash!
The sky was dark for a second, then was bright from the light reflecting off of the fire which was starting to kindle on the tree.
Fear filled the she-cat. She ran out of her den, hurrying towards the warriors den. She prodded her two warriors, Ravenwing and Cloudpool with her paw yelling, "Fire! Fire! Wake up! We have to leave!" She kept prodding them, urging them to wake up and get to safety.

With an audible crack, Ravenwing's black paw snapped the rabbit's spine, paralyzing it. It didn't take him long to kill it off. Satisfied, he settled down and began to eat his kill. Each warm bite burned his throat and body, but he couldn't seem to stop eating. Then a strange smell hit his nose.
Smoke.
That was the smell! Ravenwing left his rabbit and turned around wildly, searching for the cause. Coming at him was a huge wall of fire, chasing two other cats.
"Fire! Fire!"
Ravenwing awoke with start, heart pounding, head spinning. He groggily noticed his leader yelling and tried to clear his head enough to listen. She was yelling something about fire...
"Fire!" Ravenwing yelled, the details of his dream returning. He scented the air and choked on the thick scent of smoke.
"What happened? Where is it?" Ravenwing asked, peeking out of the den.

A Maine coon stalked through a forest, searching for some prey. His pelt was soaked because of the rain. Each flash of lightning and roll of thunder would cause a pause from the tom. The wind whistled through the trees, shaking the branches violently.
The male continued on in his search for prey. He opened his mouth to scent the air and was surprised what he smelled. It smelled like fire and smoke!
Cloudpool awoke with a jolt. He was surprised to see Beechstar in the den, and that Ravenwing was awake. Then he asked, "What happened?"Beechstar was relieved when her warriors finally woke up. When both Ravenwing and Cloudpool asked what had happened, she knew she had to explain quickly. "Lightning struck a tree. It fell and started on fire." She glanced out of the cave, and saw that it was spreading onto the ground. "Quickly, we must move. The fire is spreading onto the ground and will quickly be in the forest. We must get to the StreamClan border. Once we get there, we will decide what to do next." She started out of the den, saying, "Follow me," over her shoulder.
She quickly exited the camp, avoiding the fire. She ran through the forest, heading to the StreamClan border. She knew that Lunarstar wouldn't be happy, but the tabby didn't think she would kick them out of there right away. If she did, they would go to SkyClan and try there. All of this was passing through the SpiritClan's leaders head as she ran for the border, her warriors right behind her.OOC: Sorry if i kinda copied your dream idea...

Ravenwing followed Beechstar, green eyes grazing the land around him for anything threatening. He began to ponder what they would do at the StreamClan border, cross? He didn't think Beechstar would want to, not many cats liked Lunarstar, but it would be safer because of the river. Then another thought popped into his head, what would happen to their camp? Their territory? Ravenwing's tail dropped as he ran, stretching each black paw as far in front of him as he could.
What will happen to us?

Cloudpool ran next to Ravenwing, looking at his surroundings, as this may be his last time to see it in good condition for a while. He wondered what they would do for food; they were going to StreamClan and they weren't used to fish. Plus, Lunarstar probably wouldn't let them eat the fish. He ignored his negative thoughts and focused on getting to the border as fast as they could.
Beechstar ran through her territory, wondering if any of it would survive the fire, or if the fire would even reach here and just settle for destroying their camp. When she saw the border, she ran faster. She couldn't wait to escape her territory, where she had no idea where the fire was. When she reached the stream that divided StreamClan and SpiritClan, she looked back while waiting for her warriors. She could see an orange- red glow in the distance, proving that they fire wasn't just staying in their camp. Fear filled the leader. What are we going to live on? She shook the feeling off. She had to stay strong. When her warriors had reached her she meowed, "I know we don't like water, but it's our best chance to get away from the fire." She padded into the water and almost jumped from the coldness. She quickly made it across, meowing, "Come. The water is cold by the way." She looked behind them and saw the fire was coming and quick. "Now!"
Cloudpool looked behind him before going across the river. He saw that the fire was gaining on them. When Beechstar shouted 'now!', he almost jumped into the water to flee the fire. He quickly swam across, ignoring the chilliness. When he reached the other side, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.

Ravenwing didn't break his stride, nor look back, as his leader ordered them to cross the river. He continued running until his paws hit the icy water. With as much strength as when he ran, Ravenwing pushed his paws forward, grateful for his thin pelt. The water soaked through to his skin, but didn't drag him down very much. He put his tail straight down in the water to help him keep his body from following the current.
The shock of the cold water did no more than make him gasp and stiffen, which ended as soon as his last paw shot out of the water. He slowed to a stop on the other side of the river and sat, chest moving faster than normal, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping. He glanced over at his two clanmates.

Beechstar scented the air as soon and Cloudpool and Ravenwing were across. She could smell the fire and smoke, but also some StreamClan cats approaching. She sat down and meowed, "I smell a patrol coming. We'll wait until they get here and then explain. Until then sit and relax." She started grooming herself, noticing that she had become quite cold.
Cloudpool listened to his leader and sat down. He scented the air; he could smell a patrol coming. Beechstar was right. He started grooming himself also, trying to get the wet out of his fur.

Prairiestep trotted along the river beside Ringtail. She was perfectly content, beside the water and her mate out in the nature. Perfect.
She came to an abrupt halt as a scent reached her nose. SpiritClan cats. She caught up with Ringtail and hissed quietly, "There are SpiritClan cats up ahead."
Ravenwing sighed and settled down, tail wrapped neatly around his black body. He glanced back at the forest and looked away quickly. The raging wall of fire scared him; he'd never seen fire before.

Ringtail padded through StreamClan territory with Prariestep, enjoying the beautiful day. When Prariestep stopped, he kept going, knowing she would catch up. When she did, she said that she could sense SpiritClan cats. The made the tom speed up. The group of cats were standing next to the river, looking like they were waiting for the patrol. When Ringtail reached them, he asked, "What are you doing in StreamClan territory?"
Beechstar was relieved when the patrol came along. When Ringtail demanded to know why they were there, she said, "Our camp and territory has started on fire as you can see if you look over there." She pointed across the river. "I would like to speak to Lunarstar."
Ringtail looked across the river, and was surprised to see a fire. When Beechstar said that she would like to see Lunarstar he looked at Prariestep and nodded. "We will escort you," he meowed to Beechstar, turning back to look at her. He started back toward StreamClan's camp, him and Prariestep in the lead with the SpiritClan cats following.
Beechstar nodded. She followed the two StreamClan warriors, waving at her warriors with her tail to follow her.
Cloudpool had finished grooming by the time the StreamClan cats had arrived. Once they had agreed to take them to Lunarstar, he followed Beechstar after them.

Ravenwing stayed behind the rest as the StreamClan patrol led them to Lunarstar. He watched his paws, not too comfortable with entering enemy territory. Especially a territory ruled by a temperamental she-cat. It was like entering the Dragon's Lair to steal a piece of gold when the dragon's awake. And watching you. And your every move...
Prairiestep lead the other cats into StreamClan's camp, her paw steps growing more hesitant as she walked to Lunarstar's, her sister and leader, den. She stood outside of the den, fidgeting worriedly outside. Until she heard a voice.
"Stop standing out there and spit it out!" Lunarstar snarled, easily catching her sister's scared scent. She locked her eyes on the entrance and scented the air again, this time catching a fishy smell. (No pun intended.)

Ringtail sat down next to Prariestep when they reached camp. When Lunarstar spoke, he could scent fear coming off of his mate. So he spoke up. "We found SpiritClan waiting at the border. Beechstar wishes to speak to you. If you will allow it."
When the small group of cats came into the camp, Beechstar followed them in. She kept standing, knowing that if Lunarstar would allow her to speak, she wouldn't want her to be sitting. She waited for the she-cat answer.
Cloudpool followed the cats ahead of him into the StreamClan camp, right behind Beechstar. When they stopped, he sat down, knowing that he wouldn't be talking in the conversation with Lunarstar.

"What do you want?" Lunarstar asked, an irritated hiss edging into her voice. She stalked out of her den and shot a glare at the leader, Beechstar. "You better have a good reason for interrupting me and my patrol."
Prairiestep stared in mute horror at her sister. Her neck fur bristled, as it always did when Lunarstar was in a 'mood'.
Ravenwing stayed outside and sat as far as he could. He was not going anywhere near there.

Beechstar nodded. "There is. A strike of lightning hit a tree in our camp and it started on fire. The fire spread throughout the territory. So I was wondering if we could stay here until the fire dies down. Then we will leave."
Cloudpool noticed that Ravenwing hadn't entered the camp. He didn't want to be alone with the StreamClan cats if Beechstar and Lunarstar went to speak in private. So he meowed, "I'm going to go sit with Ravenwing," to Ringtail. He padded out of the camp and sat by Ravenwing. "Hi."
Ringtail was listening to the leaders speak when he heard Cloudpool say something to him. When he heard what the SpiritClan tom was going to do, he nodded to Prariestep to follow him, figuring that Lunarstar would want them to keep and eye on the SpiritClan cats. He followed the tom out of the camp and sat down by them.

Lunarstar sighed. She knew there was no excuse for not allowing them. With her few warriors, the dens were no where near full, and she had to admit they did need a place. Even from here she could see the fire raging.
"Fine. You may stay. Your warriors are allowed to hunt here, but they can only hunt to feed themselves. No taking any fresh kill from the pile. If they need to learn to fish, tell them to talk to Prairiestep or Ringtail. You can all use the warriors den, and I suggest you take your cats to visit Lavapelt. He's our Medicine Cat. Over there." Lunarstar flicked her black tail toward the Medicine Cat den. "And you may only stay until the fire's gone." she added, padding back to her den.
Ravenwing gave his Clan-mate a sideways glance and mowed, "Hi." Then watched as the StreamClan cats came out after them. Prairiestep followed Ringtail out to the other cats, hearing Lunarstar's instructions. She sat in front of the SpiritClan cats and meowed, "Lunarstar said it was alright for us to teach you to fish. Would anyone like to learn?"
Ravenwing nodded and mewed quietly, "Yes. I'd like to."

Beechstar let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding after Lunarstar spoke. "That's what I was planning. I wouldn't want to stay once the fire was out." She realized what she had said could have been taken offensive and she added, "No offense." She then exited the camp to get her warriors. She meowed, "Lunarstar said we can stay until the fire is out. We need to visit Lavapelt before we learn to fish," she said to the StreamClan warriors. She came back into the camp and went into the medicine cats den. "Lavapelt?"
Cloudpool was about to agree with his fellow warrior when Beechstar came by and said they needed to be checked out by Lavapelt. She went back into the camp, and he followed, waving at Ravenwing with his tail to follow him.
Ringtail watched as Beechstar came out and took her warriors back into their camp. He stayed sitting and meowed, "Let's wait here for them," to Prariestep.
Lavapelt was checking his herbs, seeing which ones were still good enough to use after winter. When he heard his name being called, he looked towards the entrance of his den and scented SpiritClan cats. He came to the entrance and saw Beechstar, Ravenwing, and Cloudpool. "What can I help you with?"
Beechstar meowed, "Lunarstar told us to have you check us out." While he started to examine, he asked why were they here. She quickly explained while he worked. "I wasn't sleeping well; I was tossing and turning. So I got up to watch the storm and see if it would make me tired again. Then, a bolt of lightning struck a tree in our camp and it started on fire. It spread through our territory. So were staying here until the fire dies and we can go back to our territory," she finished.
Lavapelt quickly examined each of the SpiritClan cats while Beechstar explain why they were there. When he was finished he said, "Well, none of you have injuries from the fire. But Beechstar, I would like you too stay so I can talk to you more about your loss of sleep." He turned to the two warriors. "You may leave and go learn how to fish. Then, when Beechstar is done here, show her." He nodded to dismiss them.
Cloudpool left the medicine cats den with Ravenwing. He left the camp and stood next to Ringtail. "Now we can fish," he meowed.
Ringtail nodded. He waited for Prariestep to get ready to leave as he stood up.
Beechstar looked at Lavapelt as her warriors left. "What do you think is wrong with me?"
Lavapelt answered, "I'm not sure. How have you been feeling before you went to sleep? Aching joints?"
Beechstar shook her head. "No." She thought back. "Well now that I think about it, my back right leg had been a little stiff."
Lavapelt nodded. "That's probably it. Hold on." He went to his supply and was glad that his goldenrod was still in tack. He brought it back and made a poultice of goldenrod. He spread it on the leg and said, "Let this dry and your stiffness will go away. Maybe you'll be able to sleep better then." He nodded, dismissing her.
Beechstar nodded. "Thank you." Then she left and sat in the clearing, not wanting her poultice to get wet by going fishing, so she waited for it to dry.
OOC: Sorry that I power played with Ravenwing a bit.
