Ash looked up and narrowed her dark blue eyes at Bleak. Then, she slowly dipped her head back to the water and lapped up a few more drinks before sitting back up. She glared at Scratch and hissed, "wow, stop being so quiet!" ooc: Sorry, no inspiration!

OOC:: You guys don't mind if I spice things up a bit, do you?
IC:: The she-cat's sudden hiss made Bleak snap his head around. Realizing that it was only an irritated complain because Scratch was quiet, Bleak rolled his eyes. Why did she-cats freak out about everything? The tom didn't know. Glancing up at Scratch, Bleak couldn't help but notice that the black cat was watching him. The small tabby narrowed his eyes. "I thought I had the staring problem. Stop looking at me like I'm food." He pulled up his lips to reveal sharp fangs. A small twig crack made the snarl drop and Bleak turned his head. There was something out there. "Shh!" Bleak snapped at the two. "Did you hear that? I'm going to go take a look." Without waiting for an answer, the little cat walked toward the bushes where the sound came from. Nosing into the bushes, a russet muzzle went beneath the tom's chin and a cool nose pressed to his chest. He stared into eyes that glowed with fury. His eyes were wide with fear as the fox stoof up with Bleak still hanging from the muzzle. His fear of foxes was still haunting him. A wail rose in Bleak's throat, and he sprang from the muzzle and took off toward the river, the fox's hot breath on his heels. "Run!"

OOC:Its fine.
IC:Scratch arched his back and hiss at the she-cat for calling him quiet. He went back to normal when Bleak started to talk to him, but hissed at Bleak for saying he had a staring problem. Then a twig snapped and Bleak went to check it out. It turned out to be a fox. Bleak screamed and ran but Scratch wasn't scared of a little fox. He waited as the scarlet beast flew out of the bushes and looked at the three cats. The pure black male ached his back and yowled at the beast, "Don't even try to hurt me, or you'll end up like that cat over there." Scratch hoped that Bleak wouldn't mind that he had used the dead cat Bleak had killed as a threat. He turned and whispered, "If you guys want to, leave. I can take this beast on by myself."

Bleak had stopped and turned around. "No way! One cat can't kill a fox! If it's a fight this thing wants," -Bleak swallowed down his fear- "then it's a war it'll get!" Bleak pelted forward, creeping low to the ground and keeping his yellow orbs locked on the russet animal. It kept coming. It lowered its head to meet Bleak head-on. Perfect! Bleak sprang up and landed on the animal's back. Digging in his claws, the little cat got a good grip with his claws, then sank his teeth into the back of the fox's neck. It wouldn't do much damage, but he knew it would distract the fox so Scratch could attack it. Bleak's teeth pierced the skin and warm blood flowed into his mouth. The tom's yellow eyes grew lustful. The taste of blood always made him want more.

Ash yowled in delight and anger, jumping onto the fox and latching onto it's throat. She bit down hard, hoping to choak it to death or make it waeker. The fox managed to throw her off. The small black tourtouiseshell she-cat ran along it's flank, jutting out her paw and runing her claws down it's side.

Scratch watched as Bleak turned around and distracted the fox. He charged at the fox and scratched the muzzle. The fox then turned away from Bleak and took a swipe at the black cat. He tried to dodge the blow, but it hit his front leg and scratched him. The scratch started blood, but Scratch ignored it and kept fighting. Then the black male saw that the fox's legs were spread, and got a good idea. He called to Bleak, " Follow my lead. This will get him down. He started to weave through the scarlet beast's legs and waited for Bleak to follow. Hurry! he thought to himself.

Bleak unlatched from the fox's throat and landed with a grunt. Pelting after Scratch, the fox tried to follow, but they were between its legs, making it hard for the beast to get at them. Bleak wound around the fox's front legs, the yellow fangs snapping too close for comfort every time he was in reach. Bleak swatted the legs with his claws, the torn sharp spikes he called claws drawing blood every time. Bleak never expected the leg to give out. The fox began to fall. Bleak turned and slammed into Scratch's side, throwing him out from under the fox. The fox landed, catching the little cat's paws underneath of it. Bleak yowled in pain, and the fox swung its head around, snapping hard on Bleak shoulder. Bleak screeched and thrashed as the beast found its footing and stood up, the little cat hanging from its jaws. Bleak's thrashes were growing weaker, his vision growing gray dots around the edges. Damn, He thought dreadfully, I might not make it out of this one.

OOC: it fine. I know what you mean.
Scratch suddenly was pushed out of the way by something. He turned to see Bleak get squashed by scarlet beast. Scratch yowled with fear but it was too late. Then the fox picked up Bleak and was carrying him. He saw that Bleak was getting weaker. The black cat went and slid under the fox. He started scratching, scared that Bleak was going to die and then the handsome cat and him might never be together. But Bleaks life was more important. He started to scratch harder, being scared for Bleak. He watched the fox drop Bleak, turn towards Scratch, and nip at him. He tried to roll out of the way, but the fox's teeth started a fresh wound. Scratch hissed in anger. Damnet, he thought. He got back to his feet and charged at the fox. Suddenly, the fox got a scared look on his face and turned and ran. Scratch was satisfied, but had lost a lot of blood. He toppled over and went into a dreamless sleep.

The entire fight, Ash had been in a daze. She'd never had a momment where she couldn't fight...until now. As soon as she saw Scratch fall she managed to grab reality again. "Bleak! Scratch!" She shouted loudly, Bleak looked weak and either passed out or close. Scratch looked on the verge of bleading to death. "Bleak, get your fat but up and help Scratch!" She shouted to the small tabby tom. She knew the first thing they'd have to do to help Scratch, and Bleak, would be to stop the bleeding. She ran to an overturned tree and saw cobwebs all over. Perfect! She thought.

Bleak landed with a hard thud on the ground as the fox turned tail and ran. He felt like a piece of moss, tossed aside by a bored kit. Hearing the command from Ash, it was faint but heard, he tried to push himself up. Pain like he had never felt rushed up his paws and attacked his head, giving him a terrible headache. Getting too lightheaded to really think straight, Bleak turned to see what his surroundings were. The fresh scent of fox, blood, and limp bodies was what he summed it up to. Ash looked fine; she hadn't fought as much as Scratch and he had. Wait... Scratch! Bleak whipped around to find the tom laying limply on the ground, his sides moving, but barely. "No, no, no, no!" Bleak murmured. His limped silently over to the body and sniffed at the black cat. He's alive, Bleak. Stop fretting! Why are you so worried? It's just another cat! Just like the other one! Bleak felt a pit forming in his belly. Why? Why was he so concerned? He gently nosed the tom. "Scratch... You gotta get up, man... Listen to me!" His soft mew rose. "Get up, Scratch. Wake up!" Bleak felt his legs quiver. His meow dropped once more to a soft whisper. "Stay with me, Scratch. Ash is getting you some cobwebs. Don't leave us. You need to stay here. It's not your time yet, Scratch. When you die, it's not going to be by a stupid fox. I'm gonna be the one who kills you, got it? So you can't die now. Scratch, no! Ash! he's getting weaker!" The little cat's desperate cry for help rang eerily around the small clearing. The sloshing water blended perfectly with the dark scene.
OOC:: Sorry if that was kinda power playing!

"Bleak, calm down! Just get over here and stop your bleeding. I'll deal with Scratch." Ash said in a voice not heard often. It was gentle and caring as she grabbed a mouth full of cobwebs. She raced over to the dying tom and sat down, gently nudging Bleak out of her way. She nosed over his pelt, looking for where he was bleeding the most. Finding a deep wound on his throat, Ash gently pushed some cobwebs to it. The wound was deep though, and soon the webs were soaking in blood. "Bleak, make yourself useful!" The black tortoiseshell hissed, not gently at all. "Get me more cobwebs!"
(Ooc: I'm gonna say he's bleeding from his throat most, okay!)

Bleak nodded and shot toward the tree where Ash had just came from. Why did he want to help Scratch? Why did he care? Why was he freaking out? Stop asking questions and do as you are told! A voice rang in his head; not his own, but not his mother. It was a very deep voice and it sounded very familiar. Bleak gasped; it was his father's voice. He had once told him that when he was a small kit. His father had been the one who led Bleak to where he stood now. But, the little cat couldn't think about that now. He began to swat at cobwebs, collecting them onto his paw in a tight, but careful bundle. Thinking that he had enough, Bleak carefully grasped the webbing in his jaws and raced over to where Ash was tending to Scratch. Bumping into the she-cat, Bleak moved her aside and set the cobwebs in front of his paws. Gently taking away the old webs, Bleak started to press new webbing to the wound. "Ash, I can't collect the webs. I'm far too shaky. You'll have to get them. I'll stay with Scratch," he added reassuringly. He continued to push fresh webs onto the gash. He felt himself begin to calm down, and his paws worked gracefully as he remembered the medical lessons his sister had taught him. With his head clearing, Bleak hopes for two things. One, for Ash to let him stay put. Two, for Ash not to snap at him for not treating his wounds.
OOC:: OMG!! Soooooo mush muse!!!!

Ash stood up and watched Bleak for a few seconds. She narrowed her eyes but didn't say anything. Turning around she went to get more, she knew there would be alot of blood. She collect a decent bundle and ran back to Bleak and Scratch. She sat down beside the btabby tom and watched him work. She bent over Scratch and whispered, "don't die on us, buddy. Bleak may not admit it, but he needs you."

OOC:: Beechy is gonna have a lot to read...
Bleak saw the she-cat bend over the limp body, but he couldn't make out what she had said because of the throbbing headache. Gritting his teeth, Bleak shut his eyes and stayed still until the pain ebbed away enough for him to get back to work. "Ash," he meowed quietly, though it made the pain bubble in his head, "take over for a minute. We're going to need some herbs. I'll get them..." Bleak began to run every herb through his head. Severe injuries need goldenrod. I'm going to need to get thyme, lotus root, and a hell of a lot of feverfew for my head. Bleak sought out thyme first. Scratch didn't need it, but Bleak did. Thyme soothed the nerves, and Bleak need plenty to help himself from freaking out. Finding a small patch, he ate a dew of the bitter leaves and moved on. He quickly found a patch of goldenrod and picked plenty; probably enough to have extra. He sped over to the two cats and dropped the pile. "Don't touch it," he snapped at Ash. He turned and raced away to find a lotus plant. Finding it, he dug it up and brought it back to the river to wash it off.
Finishing washing the root, Bleak came back to the two cats. Giving Scratch a quick sniff, Bleak seated by the tom once more. Chewing the goldenrod, Bleak dripped the juice on top of the cobwebs, the liquid soaking through the webbing and getting the wound. Bleak hoped this would work. Moving close to the tom, Bleak felt for his temperature. Normal. Bleak put his muzzle close to Scratch's ear. "See?" he whispered softly, not sure how soft because of his head. "Just keep pulling through, man. Don't go, okay? Stay right here... With me... With Ash... Just don't go. I need you here. I don't know why, but I do, so you can't die, got it?"

OOC: Yea I had a lot to read Hawky.
IC:Scratch felt something silky around his throat and a muzzle in his side. He turned to see Bleak resting his head on him, looking depressed and worried. "Bleak...what happened?" He fell back to the ground, not being able to bear the pain. He examined himself. He had cobwebs all around his neck and they were soaked in blood."How did I got like this? " Then he remembered that they had been fighting a fox and he had collapsed after it ran away. "How long have I been like this?" He couldn't stand the fact that a little fox had worn him down, although it hadn't really been a little fox. He heard another cats breathing and turned his head, while managing to still lay down, and spotted Ash messing with some herbs. The she-cat looked...well she looked normal. He turned his head back to the normal position and closed his eyes, feeling tired.
