Ash fell back, pain seering through her. How do we stop him? She wondered in dispair. She wanted to go help Scratch, but she was scared to hurt Bleak. She could try to pin him again, but it would be better if Scratch, the bigger of the two, did. So she waited, prepared to leap if Scratch couldn't get Bleak off. No, not Bleak. Bleak's father. Ash corrected herself.

Bleak was drawing closer to Scratch's neck. The tears that streamed down his face were beginning to blind him momentarily. He had to stop to blink once, but then jumped closer to the tom. His eyes were flashing between emotions: hate and lust to sorrow and regret. He couldn't control his throbbing limbs; only his father could. The enery that was tearing through him left a stain of agony behind the other emotions. I'm sorry, Scratch... I can't help...

"Bleak! Don't let your shitty father control you! He's a low down, filthy piece of fox dung! You're stronger than him! You're alive! He's not!" Ash screamed, wanting to help, but still in pain and scared to harm her son. She struggled to stadn up and fell back down. That one hit really did a number to her. "Come on Bleak! Don't let him run your life! He's a mouse-brained fur ball with no life! All he has to do is try and control you! Don't let him!"

Scratch jumped into a position that would allow him an easy attack at Bleak. He listened to Ash and realized what she was trying to do. She was trying to get Bleak to overpower his father's effect on his. He decided he should try. "Bleak, listen to us. You can overpower your father. Just think about all the fun you, me and Ash have had together. Think about how much you love us and would do anything to save us. Just think thought's like that." The black cat hoped that Bleak could overpower his father.

Bleak froze, his shoulders twitching madly. "Fools," he hissed. "You think simple thoughts can be rid of me? Pheh!" Bleak laughed, his father's laugh ringing deeply in his chest. The laughing became hysterical, the ambient sounds drifting in the air like leaves. Then, the laugh was suddenly cut off. Bleak lowered his head and growled fiercely. Turning from the larger tom, the small tabby glared at Ash. His yellow eyes had the look of age, telling that it was not the young cat. "And what did you call me? You low life little..." Bleak sprang forward, knocking into the cat and rolling with her on the ground. His pinned her down with an unknown strength, his fangs barred. Lowering his head, the tabby headed for the throat. No... Bleak sprang back, screaming loud enough to wake the dead. The scram was high pitched, belonging to the tom. "Get out of my head!" he yowled. "Ash, Scratch, HELP! Hurt me, beat me, do something to want him out!" The little tabby stood his ground with unsteady paws, his eyes flaring, then dimming, and again. He knew they didn't want to, but they had to hurt him to drive his father out. Thrashing his head wildly, Bleak tried to hold down the spirit that was clawing back into him. "DO IT!"

Ash hissed in frustration. She didn't want to hurt Bleak. The tortoiseshell she-cat launched herself in the air, landing on Bleak. She grabbed the back of his neck in her teeth and pushed him down. She stood over him, still holding his scruff, his belly, and face on the ground. She didn't know what to do. She knew she would have to fight if Bleak attacked...but she couldn't hurt him, now. Even though he asked her to. She stayed frozen like that, holding her son's scruff as gently, but forcefully, as she could. She sent a pleading glance to Scratch.

Scratch saw a pleading glance from Ash. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to hurt Bleak, but he also didn't want Bleaks father to destroy Bleak. So he decided to go with Bleaks wishes. He jumped on the tabby and clawed into his back. He didn't want to have to hurt Bleak bad, but if it would make his father leave him alone, he would have to. He bit him on the leg and then scratched him on the side, leaving a deep gash. He looked at Ash wondering if she was going to join in.

Bleak screeched and writhed in pain as he was held down and clawed. "Yes!" he yowled. "Tear me to shreds if you must! I want him out!" The little tabby tom could feel the blood leaking out of him. It fell to the cave floor and seeped onto the cold stone. NOOO!!! Make it stop!!! I can't take this in your frail frame!! his father wailed inside of his mind. Bleak felt like something detached itself from him. He was out for now. "Stop!" he screamed. "Stop, he's out, he's out!" Bleak panted heavily and went limp from exhaustion. He was insanely tired... Can't... sleep.... not now....... Just............ Then, the tom blacked out, his heart rate slowing as he lost more and more lifeblood. Something flickered in his slumber, but the tom had never dreamed before. It was a very faint light, beckoning to him through an unseen command.

Ash immediately went to her son's side. She started to lick his wounds as the tom fell asleep. She was tired and couldn't wait to sleep. She sighed and rested beside her son, weary and ready for bed.

Scratch instantly felt bad about hurting Bleak. He sat down next to Ash and helped her clean the wounds by licking them. "I'm sorry I hurt you," he meowed at Bleak between licks. He looked at the deep wounds in his mate's side and realized that he would need cobwebs. Without asking Ash, he headed outside. He instantly spotted some cobwebs in a tree and picked them out. He brought them back in and layed them next to Ash.

Ash glanced at the cobwebs and picked them up with a paw. She then gently pressed them against Bleak's worst wound. She held them there, thinking about Bleak's father. I wonder is he's dead...or alive somewhere...I also wonder if he'll leave Bleak alone for once. The black tortoiseshell sighed as she realized Bleak's father would probably be back one day.

"Wake up, you brat!" a voice boomed, forcing the tabby to open his eyes. Sitting up, he looked around, where was he? This wasn't the cave that he dwelt. Everywhere he looked, a violet haze with black swirls mixing in surrounded him. Wait, was this... a dream? No, it couldn't be! Bleak never dreamed. Looking around once more, Bleak found the figure of his father, the unmoving lips that had snapped at him. The figure tipped its head to the side. A cocky grin split across the large tabby's lips. "Guess what, my son? I get to meet your friends personally very soon!" The little tabby's heart fell to his paws at that moment. He was coming! "Listen carefully, son, for I shall only say this once." The voice rang much softer than it had before. "The moon shall pass Hovering above. There isn't much time To say bye to your love. I shall be there Within full sight When three becomes zero There shall be no light! [/u]" The ending of the hazy poem was filled with hysterical laughter. Bleak suddenly felt the ground beneath his shift, and he began to plummet, his screams drowning out his father's laughter.[/i][/center] Bleak snapped open his eyes. He was panting heavily and his pelt felt uncomfortably hot and sticky. " What happened? Where's the haze? What--" Bleak's head whirred and he broke off with a groan.

Ash leaped up in suprise. "What's wrong Bleak?" She asked, searching the cave for his father. She saw nothing and was suprised at Bleak's outburst."What haze are you talking about?" She asked, worried that Bleak may be going insane.

OOC:: Bleak color is now yellow...
Bleak looked frantically around. The haze was gone! How did it do that? "Did you see it? There was haze everywhere and there wasn't a floor and... and... It was a dream, wasn't it?" The small tom laid his head down on his paws. His head hurt, to put it on simple terms. Lifting his head slowly, the little tabby looked at Scratch's shoulder. The marks form where he had bitten were still bleeding. "Scratch... I'm sorry I let that happen..." He strained his ears for any sound of his father's voice, but he heard nothing. Then, all the details of his dream flooded back and he gasped as he got the meaning of the poem. Taking in a sharp deal of air, the tom's fear showed plain as day.
"He's gonna be here in three days!"

"Your father?" Ash asked, taking in Bleak's terrified expression. She subconsioucly unsheathed her claws, something she always did at the first sign of danger. She thought Bleak's father was dead... Now all she knew was that he was powerful and if they could beat him, it wouldn't be easy. She worriedly glanced out of the cave, as if expecting to see Bleak's father any minute now. Three days... Ash thought, that was all they had. Three days. How was that possible. They could try to run, but something told her that Bleak's father would hunt them down. They could try to fight, but that would be hard. If he was powerful enough to convey an image of himself to their cave and talk to them, he could probably kill them all with ease.
